Singer-Songwriter and Recording Artiste
Lin Si Tong is a Singaporean singer-songwriter, music producer and composer-lyricist who works across both the performing and production sides of Mandopop.
She released her debut album, Tong’s Music, in 2012, followed by the EP Perfect Healer in 2015. Both releases reached No. 1 on Singapore HMV’s Asian Album Sales Chart. She has continued to release original singles over the years and returned with her latest EP, Beyond First Glance, in 2026.
A multi-instrumentalist proficient in piano, guitar, bass and violin, Lin frequently takes a hands-on approach to her music. Her work encompasses songwriting, arranging, production, recording and mixing, giving her music a complete and distinctive creative identity.
Media Recognition
In 2012, Singapore’s The Straits Times recognised Lin as one of the country’s most promising new singers of the year. In 2015, she was named by Her World Singapore as one of 55 young women making an impact in Singapore, in recognition of her development and achievements in music.
In 2024, Lin was also featured in the sixth edition of Successful People in Malaysia & Singapore.
Songwriting and Notable Works
Lin has been an exclusive songwriter with Warner Chappell Music Taiwan since 2013. Her notable works include Little Story, Black Winged Soul, Perfect Healer and Sunflower.
Black Winged Soul was nominated for Best Theme Song at Singapore’s Star Awards 2015. Sunflower was used extensively by Guizhou Satellite TV’s reality programme Perfect Dating from 2013 to 2021 and has also been featured as emotional background music in various entertainment programmes.
Released in 2026, her latest EP Beyond First Glance features songwriting collaborations with Ricky Hsiao and Mavis Hee, further expanding her creative collaborations within the Mandopop industry.
Music Production and Music Direction
Alongside her career as a recording artiste, Lin has built extensive experience in behind-the-scenes production. Her work spans composing, lyric writing, arranging, music production, scoring for screen, recording, mixing, and vocal arrangement and performance.
She has served as music director for television and drama productions, as well as overseeing the musical direction and production of live performances. In 2023, she was Music Director for Chinese singer A-Rong’s concert in Singapore, managing the overall musical arrangement and live presentation.
Lin has also directed music videos and frequently performs and records multiple instruments during the production process. Songs she has written or produced have appeared on various music charts, while selected works have received awards or nominations in Singapore and internationally.
Selected Collaborations
Lin has worked with artistes and musicians from across the region, including A-Rong from China; Nan Quan Mama from Taiwan; Jeff & Inthira from Malaysia; and Singapore artistes Jocie Guo, Pierre Png, Tay Ping Hui, Phyllis Quek, Xu Bin, Chantalle Ng and Cheryl Chou, among others.
She continues to develop cross-border collaborations across music, screen and live performance projects, connecting creators and production teams from different markets.
Music Education and Artiste Development
Lin has more than 17 years of experience in music and creative education. She has conducted music, songwriting and creative education programmes in more than 100 Singapore schools. She is also regularly invited to serve as a speaker, mentor and competition judge, sharing her experience in songwriting, stage performance and professional music production with students and emerging creators.
In recent years, she has continued to discover and develop local talent, providing guidance across songwriting, recording, production and stage presentation. Through this work, she hopes to nurture a new generation of singers and music creators while bringing Singapore Mandopop to a wider audience.
